- Photos and images: Images you upload to our platform for restoration or enhancement. These are stored securely and used solely to fulfill your order.

- Usage data: Browser type, IP address, pages visited, and referring URLs collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfill your photo restoration and enhancement orders
- Send transactional emails and SMS order updates (with your consent)

Photos and AI Processing
When you upload photos to SOS Image, your images are processed using AI-powered enhancement technology. Your photos are:
- Stored securely on our servers during and after processing
- Used exclusively to complete your requested order
- Never sold, shared, or used to train AI models without your explicit consent
- Available to download for 60 days after order completion, extended another 30 days each time you upload a new photo (after which the enhanced results are removed), while your original uploaded photos are retained for up to 180 days to honor our re-enhancement guarantee and to handle any payment disputes — after which they are permanently deleted, unless you request earlier removal
Free Preview Uploads
This section applies only to photos uploaded for a free preview by visitors who do not complete a purchase. If you place an order, the retention terms in ‘How Long We Retain Your Data’ below apply instead.
When you upload a photo to generate a free preview before purchasing, we handle it as follows:
Purpose. Your uploaded photo is used solely to create your preview image. We do not use it for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than producing your preview and, if you purchase, completing your order.
Processing. To generate your preview, your photo is processed through trusted third-party AI image-processing services. These services process your photo transiently to return the preview and automatically delete it within approximately one hour; they do not retain it beyond that period or use it for any other purpose.
Retention. If you do not complete a purchase, we automatically and permanently delete your uploaded photo and any preview derived from it from our servers within 7 days. If you purchase, your photo is associated with your order and retained under our standard order-retention terms so we can complete and deliver your restoration.
No sale or sharing. We do not sell your photos or share them with third parties except the AI processing services described above, solely to deliver the service.
Your control. You may request deletion of your uploaded photo at any time, before the automatic 7-day deletion, by emailing support@sosimage.ai. We will delete it promptly upon request.
Security. Uploaded photos are stored on our own secured servers and are not retained on any additional third-party storage.
Live Chat
When you use the chat feature on our website, we store the conversation transcript so we can answer your questions, provide support, and improve our service. If you leave a message when no one is available to reply in real time, we also record the IP address associated with that message so we can follow up with you and help prevent abuse.
Retention. We retain chat transcripts and any associated IP address for 30 days, after which they are automatically and permanently deleted.
Bot Protection
To protect our free preview tool from automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs. To confirm that you are a real visitor rather than a bot, Turnstile may process technical information about your browser and connection, including your IP address. This processing is carried out by Cloudflare, Inc. and is governed by Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

How Long We Retain Your Data
We retain your account and order information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Your restored photos are available to download for 60 days, extended another 30 days each time you upload a new photo. We retain your original uploaded photos for up to 180 days to honor our re-enhancement guarantee and to handle any payment disputes, after which they are permanently deleted. You may request deletion of your photos at any time — including before the 180-day period — by contacting support@sosimage.ai (your right to erasure under GDPR Article 17); we will honor it unless an active payment dispute requires us to retain the files to defend a legal claim. If you leave a comment or create an account, your data is retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Opt-out of SMS: Reply STOP to any text message we send you.

Helping you while you browse. While you are on sosimage.ai, we may note — for the duration of your visit only — which page you are viewing, how long you’ve been there, and whether you’ve generated a free preview, so that our team (or our AI assistant) can offer to help you via chat. This information is held briefly on our own server, is not linked to your name or contact details, contains no IP address, and is automatically deleted within minutes of you leaving the site.
Chat invitations. You may see a small chat invitation while browsing. It appears at most once per visit, and you can dismiss it with one tap. Some invitations come from our AI assistant (always labeled as an assistant); others come from a real member of our team who is online at that moment.
Visitors in the EU, UK, Australia, and Canada. For visitors in these regions we do not run this on-site presence feature or send proactive chat invitations unless you have given consent. You can always start a chat yourself — doing so does not require consent to presence tracking.
Chat conversations. Conversations with our AI assistant are used to answer your questions and are not used for advertising audiences. If you ask to speak with a person, or share your name and email in chat, we use those details only to respond to you.
